Solution-oriented mindset is a game changer!
Your mind is a powerful tool that we don't use very efficiently most often. There is a lot we don't know about how our brains work. I'm going off of my experience with my noggin. I get asked a lot about how I stay even-keel during stressful times. It's not an easy question to answer. My initial reaction is that I don't think about the stress part. I think about the solution and how I'm going to get through it. That's like reading the last page of a book you just started.
What I have practiced over about 25 years or so is changing the narrative in my mind from a negative concept to a positive outlook. I know a lot of people that are going through body aches and pains. I have a bad back from an old injury. I have constant pain. I don't believe there has been a day in recent years where I don't have any aches or pains. It doesn't bother me in the sense that I get depressed knowing I may never get rid of the aches or pains. I have changed my mindset to focus on solutions. If I have some pain in my legs or back, let's go do some stretching. Let's rest the back for a few minutes. Solution-oriented mindset.
I know it's easier said than done. I don't fault anyone for feeling down on themselves. Feelings are good! Let them out. At the end of the day, it's your mind that can carry you through life. I challenge you to try to look for the positive and solutions when you have a challenge, whether it's mental or physical. You will be surprised how powerful your mind can be.
